Cinema 5D has recently released their article Sony a6300 vs. Sony a7S II Image Quality – How Good is it Really?
Spoiler alert: Rolling shutter is really bad on this camera, as is the 1080P mode. So if you’re locking this camera down on a tripod or as part of well stabilized rig, then you will be okay. But isn’t the point of having a camera this small mobility?
The good news is that if stabilize this camera sufficiently is does produce a good image.
Dynamic range appears to be around 11 stops or about 1 stop shy of the Sony A7s II which isn’t bad.
For the price we can’t really complain (but apparently we are anyway).
