Canon C700X Rumor is Not True
Our one source at Canon confirms that the Canon C700X is absolutely not true. Ignore this rumor.
ARRI Announces the ALEXA MINI
ARRI has surprised the cinema world with their 2.3kg ALEXA MINI that they have released to fill the need for a smaller, lighter video camera than their standard 5kg camera. The ALEXA MINI does shoot 4K (UHD).
Price has not been confirmed but the one price that we’ve had reported to us a few times is $44,999 US.

LG G4 to Have 3K Screen?
Two different sources have reported to us that the LG G4 with a resolution of 1620 x 2880 pixels. However this is not confirmed.
JVC GY-LS300 Updates
More information and some new videos have come out in regards to this camera.
This sensor is found to have about 11.5 stops of dynamic range which is not unreasonable although we were hoping for a bit better. The image so far seems to be pleasing and have potential when properly exposed.

Panasonic G7 Rumor
One of our sources has emailed us with the following specifications of the Panasonic G7:
- smaller body size than the GH line
- same sensor as GH4
- 29 time limit on video recording
- similar frame rates and codec to the LX100
- no AMOLED screen

Canon C500 Mark II
Our sources have confirmed that there is an update to the Canon C500 model, the Canon C500 Mark II, that will be presented at this year’s NAB show.
We do not have any specifications yet.
LG’s 2015 OLED Line Up Price Leak
OLED technology along with 4K resolution may very well be the combination that produces the best in-home cinema experience until whatever new technologies dethrone this combination. Unfortunately OLED remains expensive and as we see by the pricing table below the entry price to the 4K OLED world is $4,999.
